How can my old spectacles be used?
By donating your old pair of spectacles we help people through our community projects.
The recipients of these pre-loved spectacles are so grateful to be able to read a book again, drive or watch TV. Having better and more comfortable vision are making their everyday lives easier and gives them more independence.
Once we receive your old spectacles, they are cleaned and repaired (if needed) and then used to brighten up someone’s day who desperately needs them.
Those that can’t be used are recycled for parts that can be used to make another pair whole again.
What projects are my spectacles going to?
We have partnered with Paarl Round Table who reach out to the local communities and charity organizations.
Paarl Round Table identify people who are in need of spectacles, but do not have access to eyecare.
From pensioners to low-income families are helped through this amazing project.
Where can I donate my spectacles?
Your old spectacles can be handed in at your nearest VDM Optometrists.
